This printer is ready to convert into a sublimation printer - simply discard the included inks and use an any chosen sublimation ink cartridges (not included) for the initial and subsequent ink fills. If using for sublimation or for every day use with generic inks, it is important that you do NOT update firmware, as a firmware update from Epson will block your use of generic inks or sublimation inks.
